Who are Deutsche Schaden Service GmbH?
Deutsche Schaden Service GmbH (hereafter DSS) are a claims service provider based in Germany. Founded in 2020 they have quickly grown to process tens of thousands of claims per year for various German insurance companies. Their main task is to examine damages that occur on buildings and homes, such as doors, floors, glass, sanitary, shading systems and so on. They estimate the damage amount and provide repair recommendations using their network of technicians and specialized companies.
The Interview
In this interview, we discuss with Sarah Wirtz, co-owner and Managing Director on the successes achieved by using Video In Person. The operational efficiencies gained, as well as social and environmental benefits achieved by the company. In short, in a period of 4 years the company has been able to grow to process tens of thousands of claims per year, with over 26,000 handled via remote video inspections.
